Samuel Eto'o insists Ronaldinho doesn't need to rediscover the form of previous years at Barcelona.
The Cameroon striker said: "Sometimes, when you do not match the expectations of people, they criticize you. But it is not over one or two games that they should criticize.
"For me, he continues being the one of before, but the Ronaldinho that dribbles past nine players was four years ago. A lot happens over four years in football, Ronie now is a different player.
"We are not going to see him like he was nor do we want him to. Now there are others who can play that sort of way."
Suggesting it was Lionel Messi who was taking over Ronaldinho's mantle, Eto'o added: "I hope what he is doing now continues for his entire career. There are few players at his level today."
